Based on the world’s popular MOARPG, Dungeon Fighter Online (Or Dungeon & Fighter/Arad Senki), DNF Duel is a 2.5D fighter featuring simple but intuitive combat systems, over-the-top combat sequences, and colorful visuals, all while sporting Arc System Works’ signature 2.5D anime style. It will arrive on April 20 next year.Arc System Works, 8ing, Nexon, and Neople have been working closely together to create a new high octane fighting game for a new generation of fighting game fans. The Switch port for DNF Duel was revealed earlier this month through a new trailer, showing the appeal of taking this fighting game on the go and being able to play at any moment. It was even among the candidates of the past The Game Awards Fighting Game category, though it ended up losing out to MultiVersus. While DNF Duel hasn't exactly been a big mainstream hit, it still has a strong cult following. A much lower key release than other games from the lineup, DNF Duel still received generally favorable reviews from critics, praising the developer's translation of the characters from an MMO setting to a fighting game. ![]() This year was quite busy for Arc System Works, juggling the release of Guilty Gear Strive's DLC characters and cross-play, but also the release of DNF Duel this past June. ![]() The developer specializes in anime based fighters such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, and more.
